Salzmann Library, located on the campus of Saint Francis de Sales Seminary, serves the general public, especially college and graduate students, teachers, and all who work of volunteer at the parishes, schools and ministries in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. It contains more than 80,000 volumes, primarily in ministry and theology with a strong canon law collection.
Unique to Salzmann Library is the Weakland Collection - articles books, speeches and videos by or about Archbishop Emeritus Rembert Weakland, OSB. Also collected are the theses written by Saint Francis de Sales Seminary graduates.
Research and writing aids
Salzmann Library belongs to SWITCH, a consortium of eight academic libraries in the Milwaukee area that share an online catalog called TOPCAT. Salzmann Library patrons can borrow from or use any SWITCH library.
