About Us

Forming men with a new heart and a new spirit

For more than 150 years, Saint Francis de Sales Seminary has formed the minds, hearts and souls of men discerning their call to the Catholic priesthood. Today, we blend our rich history with new vigor in a priestly formation model designed for the realities of the 21st century. The Seminary prepares men of all ages and backgrounds - college students, college graduates and working professionals, from the United States and around the globe - for a lifetime of ministry as Catholic priests.

Led by Most Reverend Jerome Listecki, archbishop of Milwaukee, and Very Reverend John Hemsing, rector, the Seminary is committed to high-quality priest formation. This is an exciting time of growth for the Seminary. We welcome a new generation of seminarians eager to live their faith and share it with others. We invite everyone to join us in celebrating our new heart and new spirit.
